Where’s The Car?

A well-run workflow gets a car frontline-ready in about five days, and every day past that is holding cost you’re paying on a unit nobody can sell yet. Most of that slippage isn’t one broken step. It’s cars sitting between steps while everyone assumes someone else has them. You can dramatically improve speed-to-sale by using Rapid Recon reconditioning software..

THE RIGHT TOOL FOR THE JOB

See and control your entire recon process from anywhere in real time.

With Rapid Recon, the exact reconditioning position and status of every car (where it is, where it’s going next, its repair estimates, its recon costs by car, and more) is a screen swipe away. Your team scans a QR code to move a vehicle and update its status, and geolocation shows you where it’s physically parked when someone can’t find it. One click advances the car and alerts whoever’s up next, so nothing waits on a phone call.

Smart. Experienced. Working for You.

Rapid Recon:

We literally wrote the playbook on modernizing reconditioning through technology and top-performing industry practices, and we’ve put it to work across more than 1,000 dealership installs. Our software is not just a workflow management tool. It’s a vital business tool for managing your largest fiscal inventory investment, the reconditioning of used vehicles. Time-to-Market reporting is open 24/7 with six months of history and a drill-down to any individual car, so you can see whether a bad month was one step, one person, or one week.

More than software – we’re car business experts

Experienced in all aspects of dealership management, we support you with business problem solving, industry-leading training, and best practices. Our seven performance consultants each bring 10 to 20 years of dealership experience, and they build your workflow around the process you already run instead of handing you a template. Most systems are designed, installed, and training-complete in about 10 business days.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Rapid Recon connects to the systems your store already runs. Vehicle and status data comes in through daily feeds from your DMS and inventory tools, often more frequently than daily, so the recon board reflects what’s actually in stock without anyone retyping a stock number. Website and CRM connections feed Rapid Engage and Vehicle Build Sheets. Appraisal and diagnostic tools feed Rapid VINSight. You can still add or update a vehicle by hand when you need to, and sold units drop off the live board automatically and stay in archive for reporting.

Most T2L is dead time. A car sits finished in detail because nobody downstream knows it’s done. Rapid Recon closes that gap: one click moves a vehicle to its next step and alerts the person responsible for it, so the handoff happens the moment the work does. From there you get the numbers to fix the process itself. The Time-to-Market report gives you an overall average, then lets you isolate any single step to compare actual time in step against your goal or against last month. A daily email lands with management showing every car, every step, time in step, and days in DMS. Dealerships using Rapid Recon see turnaround up to 80% faster.

An average system is designed and installed within 10 business days. More complicated multi-store setups can take longer. There’s nothing to buy and nothing to install: Rapid Recon is cloud-based and works on Apple, Android, and Windows Mobile devices with no app to download. Your Process Performance Manager builds the system around your existing workflow, then runs a kickoff and training session using your dealership’s own inventory, not a demo dataset. After that, Rapid Recon University lives inside the application with a full video library, and your PPM stays available for ongoing tuning.

Yours. Every Rapid Recon system is built around the workflow your store already uses, with your step names and descriptions. Movement doesn’t have to be sequential either. Skip a step a car doesn’t need, or move a vehicle out of order when a sublet is backed up or detail is slammed. The Time-to-Market report still accounts for total time correctly, and you can pull any individual step apart to see where the real delay is. If you want a second opinion on the workflow itself, our Process Performance Managers bring the practices they see working at top-performing stores.

We know your business, because we’ve lived it!
