FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Not exactly, and that’s the point. A window sticker, also called a Monroney Label, is a one-time printed disclosure attached to a new vehicle at the factory. A Vehicle Build Sheet is a digital OEM data record pulled by VIN that works for used and certified pre-owned inventory too, not just new arrivals. Where a window sticker stops, a Vehicle Build Sheet keeps going.

For used and certified pre-owned inventory, yes, and most dealers prefer it. The data is OEM and OEM-style sourced, the format is consistent across your inventory, and it’s accessible inside your reconditioning and merchandising workflow. For new-vehicle disclosure at point of sale, the federally mandated physical window sticker is still required.

MSRP, factory-installed options and packages, standard equipment, EPA fuel economy ratings, trim-level specifications, drivetrain and engine details, OEM color and configuration codes, and, importantly, port-installed and factory-installed accessories that often do not appear on the original Monroney Label. All pulled by VIN.

An OEM build sheet is a generic industry term for the factory-issued specifications record of a vehicle. The Rapid Recon Vehicle Build Sheet is our productized version of that record, integrated directly into Rapid Insight so your team accesses it inside the same tool used for vehicle reconditioning. Same authoritative data, no extra logins or workflows.

Yes. Vehicle Build Sheets give your customers the same OEM-sourced data they would see on a window sticker, but for most cars on your lot, not just new arrivals. Used-vehicle shoppers consistently rank authoritative manufacturer specifications among the top factors in their purchase decision. Dealers using Vehicle Build Sheets see higher engagement on online listings and more confident close conversations on the lot.

Vehicle Build Sheets are available by VIN for used and certified pre-owned vehicles, not just new ones, so you can pull data long after the original window sticker is gone. How far back that goes varies by manufacturer, and we publish brand-by-brand availability at /resources/oem-coverage/.

Yes. Our data combines direct OEM feeds with OEM-style engineered records, automatically assembled by VIN, no manual lookup, no opt-in, no per-vehicle purchase. It’s built to reflect the same factory specifications as a window sticker, and it’s already there before your team goes looking for it.
